Researchers are discovering that bacteria may play a greater role in promoting cancer than previously recognized. Two new studies recently released by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center reveal the mechanism of how bacteria infiltrate tumors and, more importantly, how they act as allies of tumors, allowing them to both grow and spread throughout the body if left unchecked.
