The unincorporated community, east of Houston, breathes perilous levels of the chemical linked to leukemia, blood cancers, diabetes, and reproductive issues.

Shockingly, the TCEQ withheld crucial health information from the public while permitting K-Solv, a chemical distribution company in Jacintoport, to expand operations and release nearly 20 times more volatile organic compounds, including benzene, into the air annually.
