Highlighting the connection between the gut and the brain, researchers have discovered the gene that helps transport the rare micronutrient Queuosine (pronounced “cue-o-scene) into human cells—unlocking new possibilities for disease prevention, brain health, and even cancer protection.

According to this report, “Queuosine is a vitamin-like compound that the body cannot produce on its own. We can only obtain it through our diet and the bacteria in our gut. Although essential to health, its significance remained largely overlooked for years.”
