Researchers from the University of Technology (Sydney) have found berberine, a plant compound, to be effective at stopping the growth of lung cancer cells. Berberine is found in barberry, goldenseal, Oregon grape, and tree tumeric. Berberine was one of the core supplements I took after being diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma, as mentioned in my book, I Used to Have Cancer (Chapter 11).
The research team developed an advanced delivery system of the berberine using liquid crystalline nanoparticles which were used to treat human lung cancer cells outside of the body in a laboratory setting.
