This new study demonstrated that a plant-based diet is effective in cutting the risk of bowel cancer for men by 22%. For women? Interestingly, the study did not find the same results for the female sex.

A study involving 79,952 US-based men was published November 29, 2022 in BMC Medicine. Researchers found that those who ate the largest amounts of healthy plant-based foods had a 22% lower risk of bowel cancer compared with those who ate the least.
