According to a new study from researchers at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. ketogenic diets prevented colorectal tumor development in animals studied. By contrast, all the animals on other diets, including low-fat, high-carb diets, developed tumors.

The ketogenic molecule is Beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), and it’s one of the three most abundant ketones in the body. It is produced during periods of fasting or when consuming high-fat, low-carb diets for an extended period of time.
