A new study just published by University of Pennsylvania finds that a molecule produced in the liver in response to a ketogenic (low-carb diet) is effective in suppressing tumor growth in colorectal cancer.

This naturally occurring molecule (beta-hydroxybutyrate or BHB) is one of three ketones the body produces when fasting or eating a ketogenic diet.
