Dozens of homes in the Grand Prairie, Texas, area are affected, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is now responding about how it will tackle the cancer-causing contaminated groundwater under the area homes. The toxic groundwater plume contains trichloroethylene, a known human carcinogen which can cause cancer, birth defects, and damage vital organs.
